18 T4R Gas gauge and on board computer?

Hello everyone
when i fill up the fuel tank my on board computer only shows 350 to 375 miles for distance i knew we have 23 gallon fuel tank like the 4th Gen 4R. and i would get distance of 400 to 425 on the on board computer on my old 4R, what is going on any body have any info on this. is there a rest

Welcome to the Runner. You need to hypermile and drive like a granny. Keep the RPMs under 2000. Check out some of my posts. I'm getting 21.2 right now. Goal is 22 mpg.

I'm seeing the same, I would get 400 miles to the tank on my 4th gens, but I'm only getting roughly 300 miles per tank on my 5th gen. Of course I was using 93 in my 4th gens and have been using 87 in my 5th gen since I bought it, but I can't imagine that making 100 miles per tank difference...

I was just wondering if there is something wrong, i think it only reads from the time you fuel up & it does not add the remaining miles to the tank that would be my guess but that is crazy, it makes me scratch my head

They could have just increased the empty buffer. Only way to know true millage is to compare millage to gallons added but even that has room for error.
