18's on a 2-3" lifted 4Runner

My Summer wheels are 18 x 8.5 Enkei Series - RT6 with 275/65/18 Firestone Destination All Seasons.

This was before I installed a 1" front leveling kit on my 2011

My wifes Limited with a Cornfed 2/1 lift with 285/65/18 KO2 on 18x9 -12 offset Black Rhino Warlord wheels

I was looking at the warlord wheels for my 2018 magnetic gray 4Runner. Do your stick out from the wheel well a lot? I am trying to keep my at the edge if possible. Also any rubbing?

Anyone putting anything over a 17” wheel on the Runner is the equivalent of a completely capable Wrangler being outfitted with 20s. It not only looks horrible to me, but it become much less practical if you’re using the Runner for its intended purpose.

Looks are subjective so it boils down to function. Less tire is never a good idea if you’re off road. The second you run into some deep ruts, you’ll be wishing you had more sidewall to protect your wheels. Hell, I’d put 16” wheels and more rubber on if I could.

It’s hard for me to gauge only on looks when I see a Runner not live up to its potential. Sorry fellas. I think anything over 17 looks bad, but that’s just one man’s perspective. To each their own.

The tires stick out 1/2" from the wheel well and after doing the fender liner mod and some massaging with the heat gun, she gets minimal rubbing at full lock in reverse.
