I currently own a 1987 4Runner SR5 with a factory turbo. Rebuilt turbo, New turbo components, new fuel pump and filter, new tires, new front seats, new exhaust. Starts right up but doesn't have a lot of power. Not sure why? 255,000 miles. Body in excellent condition inside and out. Removable top. Red w grey interior. Would like to sell and get something else.
HOW MUCH IS THIS VEHICLE WORTH??
Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks! Tyler

The value of these runners vary so much based on condition. Post pics. I have seen the turbo trucks sell anywhere from $1,000 to $15,000.

Kid: I think he was but he hasn't poked in on the forums in a bit so I am not sure if he found anything yet.

if your lacking power i would check your intake piping for air leaks . If you have leaks the turbo wont spool up and deliver that power . Or if your rpms are high and your not going anywhere it could be your tranny and or clutch . I have an 87 22rte with a rebuilt engine on 35" tires and i love my turbo.

Actually i live in Texas now, but I'm still located in the middle east. toy buying is on hold until i get home and coax the wife into another 4runner. She said the last one got out of hand . I also have a wagoneer and a GTO to restore. yay me...

Your seats have arm rests. I've never seen that.

I'm not sure if you're joking or serious. I'm hesitant to say that they're not stock seats because I didn't want to insult your intelligence. But maybe you're joking and I'm being a sucker by pointing out the obvious?

If you can get the engine issue sorted out I would guess to say that your 4runner is worth somewhere near 5k. The interior seems like it's in very good shape, the exterior is in great shape too. As long as the frame and suspension is rust free and solid then you have a very very clean rare 4runner. I would however get rid of that exhaust manifold and try to find a stock one... IF you can.

Finding a turbo 4runner that is in good shape is getting pretty hard these days. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I wondered, but the upholstery looks stock.

Notice how tall the base of the seat is? Also the seats are a solid color and don't have the matching base color as the rear seats. Plus the arm rests as you mentioned. The plastic trim on the seats are a lighter color than the rest of the interior plastic too.
