1988 4runner not starting

Having trouble with a 1988 4runner with v6 3vze I bought a few weeks ago. The previous owner I purchased from bought it not running and tried to get it running but had no luck.
It is not getting spark. It has a new/used Igniter, coil, and distributor, I checked the grounds and obvious stuff like fuses and changed the efi relay. Previous owner pulled wrapping off wire bundles to check for broken wires which all look good. I’m starting to think computer is bad. I tried to jumper Computer Te1 e1 but I don’t see a check engine light on the dash. I’m starting to think the computer is bad. I removed it but it looks clean, no corrosion or burnt capacitors. I’m out of ideas. Any suggestions please. Thanks

Not seeing the check engine light when jumping Te1 and e1 is not a good sign. I am assuming the check engine light does not come on when you turn the key. You can most likely get an ECU for one of those for under $100 on EBAY. I know I only got $75 for one I sold a short while back. Can you maybe get on a 4runner facebook group and borrow an ECU to see if that works. Also how did you verify it is not getting spark? Did you turn it over while the plug was out while grounding the electrode?
