1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD - $2000 eBay Item 330966413220
I'm posting this here because I figured if anyone would appreciate the effort I have taken to maintain this car over the years it would be the users of this forum.
I was recently in an accident and the repair costs exceeded the value of the car. I am only the second owner. I purchased it in August of 1995. I took excellent care of this car over the years. Apart from the damage, the car is in excellent cosmetic condition and super clean. The car also runs really well. It is drivable, but in my opinion I don’t believe it would be safe to drive more than 30-40 MPH until repairs are made.
Rather than turn it over to the insurance company for salvage, I’d prefer my 4Runner go to someone who appreciates it, who wants to restore it, or possible use it for parts to restore their own 4Runner. I’m only asking what the insurance company is offering for the car.
History and Features
• I have all maintenance records going back to 1995
• Original manual included
• For the last 7 years I have used only a 50/50 synthetic and petroleum oil blend
• I had the car detailed at least once a year
• High-end Crime Stopper alarm system with keyless remote entry, 3 fully functioning remotes, and manuals for both instruction and installation. Can be configured to remote start the car
• It has been in a few other minor accidents over the years, but the damage was isolated and easily repaired: bumper and fender damage mostly
• In December 2002, at 160836 miles the head gasket failed which ruined the short block. I replaced the entire short block.
• The original radio was replaced with a high-end Kenwood KDC-MP5028, HD Receiver, CD, MP3 player in 2005. Has antitheft removable faceplate, and remote. Original box and manuals also included
• Non-smoker owned
• All terrain tires with many miles left to go
• The catalytic converter was replaced less than a year ago.
• Current Mileage: 211683
Condition
Vehicle runs well. All electronics are working. This includes, power door locks, power windows, alarm with keyless entry, stereo receiver, AC/Heat, interior and exterior lights, and cruise control. These are the parts that will need t be replaced based on the estimate.

The hood, although not aligned is undamaged. Please see images. Otherwise the vehicle is in excellent condition for its age, but does show wear on paint, interior carpets, and surfaces. Many clean parts here if that’s what you’re after. The CD changer shown in the rear cargo area of the vehicle is not included in the sale.
It’s also worth noting that during my last oil change I was told that the valve cover gasket was leaking. Based on that, I took it to the Toyota dealership for a second opinion, and they said it was the head gasket. Conversely, the shop that did the oil change says the head gasket is fine. I know that it is leaking oil from at least one of these gaskets but I cannot confirm which gasket is the real problem at this point. Feel free to ask any questions as well. I’ll do my best to answer.
Shipping and Payment
I would prefer a local buyer, but I will help arrange shipment and transport with a local vehicle shipping company.
Final payment can be made by cashier’s check drawn from a major bank or cash. No personal checks.
