1995 4Runner 2WD V6 SR5 .. OBD1 or OBD2?

Anyone know if a 1995 4Runner, 2WD, SR5, V6 3.0L .. is it OBD1 or OBD2?

Is it written somewhere on the car or would I need an owner's manual (don't have it).

I'm 99% sure it's OBDI because OBDII started in 1996.

My '94 4runner is OBD-I. I bought a cable and device to link it into this laptop, but the message I obtain is >>check if vehicle is OBD-II compliant". Since it is not, I can't use the laptop. I will be working on my '95 Buick and I was wondering if I could use this cable and with it. Anyone know if, perhaps, OBD-II was put in Buicks that year?

ODBII became mandatory in '96. Many manufacturers had it installed a year early, and I've seen that on many Toyotas. Look for the ODBII connector under the dash, it's very easy to spot.

Here's the rub with some GM cars. They switched over in the middle of the '95 production year. Many cars have OBD-I with the 16 pin contact. OBD-II wasn't installed in new GM cars until '96
