1997 4runner Limited (tune up / maintenance)

Just bought a 1997 4runner Limited and I need some advice getting it into
shape. The previous owner I believe didn't take as great of care with it as I would have liked, but now it's mine and I'd like to give it some TLC.

The 4runner has 188,000 miles on it, and I have no idea what has been done to it recently or ever. After reading stuff here and there I have a general idea of what needs to be cleaned/replaced at this point, but before I start I wanted to know if any experts had suggestions for me as im a handy person, but not a mechanic.

I just had the oil changed and filter replaced, but I figured it needs a nice tune up including;
Replace air filter
Replace spark plugs and wires
Replace fuel filter
Replace cabin filter
Flush trans/coolent fluid and replace
Throttle body cleaning

Does any one have any other suggestions as to what else should be replaced or cleaned anywhere on the 4runner.

Add the t-case and diff oil, and you pretty much covered everything.

I don't think there is a cabin filter on 3rd gens. You may want to clean the MAF with MAF cleaner when you do the TB and air filter. OEM paper or oil-less reusable air filters are recommended. Also, you may want to research whay type of coolant to use. I would use what ever is in there now. Depends on if you have green or red coolant now. Get the correct Denso brand dual-electrode spark plugs from amazon.com or the dealer. I'm a fan of Mobil 1 for ATF drain and fill. ALso check out Mobil 3309, it was designed for our transmissions.

The fuel filter is probally the least important but I have it on my to do list as well. I just replaced my lower ball joints as prevenative maintance. Lastly, some people replace the radiator as prevenative maintance too with a Koyo A1998. Do this before you drian and fill coolant.
