1997 auto transmission drive lights in dash?

I have a 1997 4x4 auto. I dont see any transmission position indicator lights in the dash were others seem to have them. Did 96 and 97's have them? Or are mine burnt out?

96 and 97 dont have them, im not sure about 98s, but i know 99 and newer have them.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. It's odd that toyota would design is the dash to accept them in later years but not put them in 96-97. It has the same lil window area were they are in later years.

1998's have them - I got them in mine. That is weird about the '96 and '97!

Mine dont have it either. Which is perfect for manual swap although they are right next to the shifter rather then in the odometer
