Hi T4R,
I'm looking to unload my VERY well used 1997 limited with elocker. It runs well, drives OK, is currently smogged/insured/registered, and has a little over 300k miles.
Maintenance and upgrades:
last timing belt/etc around 220k
OME suspension medium front heavy rear with about 80k also
Goodyear silent armor 265/75R16 with a little tread left
power inverter under passenger seat wired to an outlet on the center console
OEM radiator, trans gasket, valve cover gaskets/related, plugs, wires etc around 250k.
Both drive shafts serviced with joints replaced as necessary last 20k miles
new (reman?) steering rack professionally installed ~20k miles
alpine stereo
fog/driving light combo
newer muffler, exhaust leaks sealed; exhaust is still kinda loud.
front windows tinted to match rear
ISSUES:
FRAME RUST! I've tried to capture the worst spots in the pics.
Body rust is minor in the usually places.
front and rear bumpers dented and rusted.
parking brake seized
front brakes vibrate after extended use
whine (trans?) when accelerating from a stop (has been like this for many miles)
OTRE boots shredded (pics attached), steering is a little loose. I would replace the LBJs, can't recall their history.
AC not blowing cold; had it refilled a couple summers ago, worked that summer and then didn't the next year
battery is dead from sitting. There may be a small parasitic load, wasn't an issue when driving regularly but is when it sits?
driver lumbar motor dead
driver seat fore/aft motor needs help to move (gear issue)
Throttle is stiff
holes in the cargo area where a safe was previously mounted through the floor (pic attached)
interior is well worn
elocker sensor circuit is bad, last I (and a dealer) checked it was engaging, but the light would blink. likely wiring issue
I'll try to be as transparent as possible but there could be some minor things I'm forgetting; haven't driven it in many months. That being said it drives pretty well and could be safely road worthy IMO with a little work.
I haven't listed it locally yet as I wanted to give you guys first crack. For now the price is SOLD, cash, BTC, or trade towards a 5VZ-FE supercharger. Clean title in hand, AS IS, WHERE IS, NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
For a quick an easy transaction the buyer is welcome to any of the take-off parts from my 2000 limited build (also silver) free of charge. Bumpers, skids, spare tire, suspension, front brakes, stock springs, roof rack (no rails), etc are available and in good condition. Please let me know if you have any questions or interest. Thanks!
