No extra noise for me and I have holes in the very back of this body so if you eat peanuts in the back seat you can toss them right outside. so if there was any extra noise generated by the mounts I would find out.

Flew out to salt lake from Minneapolis to pickup this decent rust free body. drove it back 1200 miles no issues whatsoever. It has some scratches and a couple of very minor dings that should be easy to fix up. has some rust on the frame but it's what a salt belter would call clean. cali guys would say OMG that is a rust bucket.
Stellar blue pearl and of course moon mist interior.
The plan is to paint this truck radiant red and swap over the oak (tan interior) and of course plop it onto the restored frame.
good solid summer project and I'm thinking it will take me all summer. will give me a chance to get my feet wet on some body work and painting.
now I just need to figure out how to turn my garage into a spray booth.

I've also seen that you can rent them in some places, though not sure around your area. I've done it in a spare bedroom for small things and just put plastic from the ceiling down with a fan blowing out a window. With a garage, you should be able to get a fairly nice DIY setup for around $200 with wood and plastic. I'm sure you're watching the many Youtube videos on getting something like that setup.

once the snow melts I will have the entire garage to use. I can setup a plastic enclosure and fan/filter. like you said prob $200 should be able to setup a pretty nice temp deal for 2-3 week painting party.
the biggest thing I have found in the past is controlling the weather sucks... the humidity can make or break a painting session.

I’ve got pretty much everything to do it at home. Sanding blocks, spray guns, buffing crap. You’d just have to buy materials

I have 2 x 25 gallon that will do 150 psi
about 9 cfm @ 90 psi
+ I have a spare 25 gallon tank so once I'm juiced up I have about 75 gallons of 150 psi air. works well for blasting.
I have a budget setup for expanding my setup so I can paint.

heading down the sketchy rabbit role even further, why not.
I started to have weird problems with my turn signals. I would get both signals at times. it was really strange. I finally traced it to the trailer wire box way in the back. not sure what's up and why it just decided to start being goofy but unplugging it did the trick so I'm legal again.
I also decided I should probably fix my clock spring that I messed up when I did the frame swap. But rather than get the correct clock spring I ended up getting one for my 2000 and so... why not swap in the spare 2000 lim steering wheel you had laying around? so the air bag light is off, and my cruise control works again. The airbag did not explode (yet) so...

it made it upto 40 deg today... spring mech. season has started.
My old steering rack had been dripping just a tiny bit when I did the frame swap... but it got progressively worse this winter and it was time.
OEM is worth it on this one for sure.
got to have a big old pile of tools in your way while you work.

I did the proverbial 98 swap to 99 console. I found a 99 with moon mist inside and grabbed the internals from it and cleaned it up. The donor was in ok shape but of course the lid cover was all torn up and had cooties bad.

Appreciate you providing the part number for the OEM center console armrest. Looks sweet alright. About 50 bucks?

If still sold new, I didn't find such. Leather is gone, so I imagine this "Limited" offering is no longer... That said, me personally not being so keen on many of these "upgrades", I didn't hesitate ordering 58905-35040-E0. Found a dealership selling for 52 bucks, no tax, about $10 shipping...
