After owning my 4Runner since new (16 years) I finally hit a deer in the Texas Hill Country. I knew it was inevitable but it still sucks. For me and for the deer. Luckily, the damage was minor and mostly to my driver's side headlamp and signal lamp. I've replaced those but noticed that the grille filler panel was bent and that it had come loose from where it attaches to the front quarter panel. I can't tell if that is fixable or not. I think I can bend the filler panel a bit to make it fit again but not sure about reconnecting the other end. It is not clear that just buying this part (52523-35030 FILLER PANEL RETAINER LEFT) will suffice. It almost looks like it is soldered or glued to the quarter panel. Does anyone know? Also, I'm wondering if I bought a new Grille Filler Panel (52513-35030 FILLER PANEL LEFT) if these are colored based on my 4Runner (Desert Dune body color). I doubt it. Any help thoughts on making this repair/replacement would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
