After opening all these parts up I really got excited. I really hope everything goes smooth with picking up my car from the shipping place sometime near thanksgiving. Ordering some tires in the next few days. Going to scour the junkyards around here for some things as well. I plan on running a tundra brake upgrade (231mm) once I get a few more peices. Also looking for a '99 center console. Gotta have them cupholders ill keep you guys posted as I get my 4runner back and the rest of my evil plans come together.

Ok, so after my little trip to OH and WV over thanksgiving I am starting the project tomorrow. Over my break I ordered a set of 315 75 r16 **** Cepek Mud Country tires. I also went to an auto parts store to get everything for a transmission flush/filter change, engine oil change, and drain and fill the front, rear diffs and transfer case. I am replacing the spark plugs that the original owner had installed (Bosch platinums or some crap) to NGK iridium IV's. I also highly doubt that the timing belt/water pump has been replaced at all and the 4runner has 147k, so i figured that while the car is out of commission I may start that little project as well.

Ok so today I got a late start. I went and got my wheels and tires mounted and balanced. I started digging into the drivers side and found the original coilover only had two of the three mount nuts installed, and one was only slightly tighter than hand tight...fml. I removed the factory upper control arm and had to go get an actual Ball Joint press because my puller wasnt cutting it...after renting one from autozone I get home and gave a shot at pushing out the upper ball joint with is a total PITA! I soaked it with PBlaster and cranked the press as hard as i could, I am letting it sit overnight with tension on it and I'll heat the mount area in the morning :flamethrwoer2: and hope it pops with a few whacks of a big arse hammer!

Stock ball joint and upper control arm removed, used a ball joint press kit from AdvanceAutoparts and it worked really well with a 3ft breaker bar. ready for cleaning and install.

Close up of coilover and light racing UCA. Front end is completely done and starting the rearend tomorrow morning. 2"inch body lift getting installed on Sunday. I should be on the road and getting an alignment by monday morning. Not too shabby of time from start to completion seeing how I am doing this all myself. :guitar3:

running 315's I am more than likely going to have to break out my trusty ol sawzall this weekend too and make some trimming adjustment and also hammer the pinch welds flush. After alignment I plan on maybe re-gearing to 5.29's for front and rear thirds...$$$$$$

Nice work JHT... looks like you made some pretty major progress over the last couple days. That shot of the front w/the 315 & new wheel mounted up VS. the stock rear looks crazy. If you cover the front or the back it's like looking at two different trucks.

Yeah, its a night and day difference compared to the stock front end and lifted. I still have yet to adjust the front coils lol. Hopefully everything should be completely done sunday night and ready for alignment. I am looking up ideas for re-gearing and adding a locker up front at the same time and cant make up my mind whether to get an aussie or arb...decisions decisions lol...

Just finished up the rear today, wanted to start the body lift but had to go grab an xmas tree. Still need to take it for a lap around the neighborhood and adjust the front coilovers but overall I am loving the 35's. :banana:

I am really pleased about how much the limited fenders cover the new tires still. I was worried a bit about how it would turn out with 1 1/4 wheel spacers and 315/75r16 tires on those rims..
