That is still a little high.
I'd be more curious why the upper manifold is as clean as a whistle while the rest of the engine looks pretty uniform for age wear.

You should shoot to get it down a couple grand more. Assuming it is a 4WD
Looks nice but be cautious and get a Carfax or other vehicle history report to make sure the mileage is truly as low as they claim...

I paid more than 9k for mine and it had more miles, but it was practically brand new inside and out, and I'm talking crankcase, carpet, everything. Of course it was also a 2002, so...
Granted I feel I overpaid, but live+learn.
Is this one a 4WD? Mine is, SR5, everything but the leather and cladding that a limited has.

my truck has twice the miles and a cleaner engine compartment. Low mileage cars are great finds, IF they were taken care of. Sometimes people severely neglect maintenance because they think if it's just sitting it doesn't need anything.
Smart move, low mileage garage queens seldom are a good value, seals, springs etc. age no matter if driven or not. 3rd gens are basically bought for modding, off road banging or low cost, abiet mediocre mileage DD/do all's. Spend around 5-7K for a 98-2000 with 170-200K in good shape and then build from there.

Odometer fraud happens more often then you think. About the only thing Carfax is really useful at is spotting ODO-fraud.
That said it is kind of a binary situation. When you buy the car there is a check box that says "the odometer mileage might not be accurate" or something like that.
Unfortunately if you buy the car and there is any acknowledgment by you (eg a signature) that the odometer is off in any way then you have NO legal recourse for fraud.
It won't matter if they rolled it back 20,000 miles or 120,000 miles. You will have no recourse because you signed for it.
Btw if there is ODO-deception it may be big like 100,000 miles because most criminals like to maximize their return on investment.
Sounds like the CarFax is merely saying, the truck is 16 yrs. old and the reported mileage isn't what a 16yr. old truck normally has... just putting it in fancy speak with the mileage doesn't match the odometer history???

I can't tell if it's 4WD or 2WD. That's WAY too much a 2WD (like 2X too much) and still about $3,000-3,500 too much, even for a 4WD. It is a 16-year-old truck, no matter the mileage, and as has been pointed out, hoses still rot, bushings go bad, etc. even if it is just sitting. There are much better deals out there.
I looked picked it up today for 7900. In NY it's worth at least 7k in its condition. It was the year color trim and tranny I wanted. It was the wife's car she drive to and from work 6 miles for 14 years. They accidentally coded those miles. Overall I'm happy. His maintenance records are all there... Truck is clean. Slight rusting underneath under the under coating.
