1999 4runner 2.7 idles rough no power

just bought a 99 4runner 2.7 auto for 700.00 idles rough not alot of power real clean ride just wondering where i should start trying to fix this prob it has new plugs wires coil packs any help will be appreciated

I've had a few things that happened to my 2.7 to result in rough idle and no power. Most result in a check engine light.

IE: Throttle positioning sensor, Idle air Control valve, harmonic balancer was more of just a rough idle thing...
 
I just experienced this with my 3.4. It was really weak on accelerating, it would struggle when shifting from 4th to 3rd and the idle was rough and shaky. And it did this for about a week until the cel came on. Ran the code and it was a 3rd cylinder misfire, replaced a coil pack and that fixed it for about a week. Talked to a mechanic buddy and he told me to replace the spark plugs. I bought a set of NGK's and while pulling the third one out i noticed that there was a burn mark going all the way down one side of the plug. Replaced them all and now it runs perfect again. I know they're different engines but check your spark plugs.
 
2.7 rough running

I had a misfire on my 98 with the 2.7. I had an injector fail. The price is pretty steep, so i only got the one that failed. Been running great since.

Throttle body is good--check for vacuum and intake leaks, too. Spray mist some H2O around and see if it starts to die in any particular place. These are areas that are a little slower to throw codes.
