1999 4Runner lifts

Why can't I buy coilovers and do a 4 inch lift on my 3rd gen I want it at least 3.5 inches in the front
I'm getting Kings on Sunday and im gonna try to max out lift hieght and see how it works

First off.

Secondly, why/who says you can't run Coilovers?

4" is pushing the geometry of the suspension, causing binding and breakage of CVs. That's why the general ROT is ~3".
 
If you look at some of the different coilovers, and I am not 100% sure that Kings will do it. I think Fox allows up to 3.5 inches of lift. Like Doc says though, anything more than 3 is starting to risk running issues. Do a 3 inch and thow 1 inch of body lift on it. I think its [MENTION=14772]shootmymime[/MENTION] that makes body lifts for our 3rd gens.
