Guys, I know this topic has been beaten to death and there is countless threads on it but that's part of my problem, there are so many options and I'm not really sure what I need to do. So I bought this runner a couple of months ago and the shocks are pretty much shot. It bounces down the road like a basketball. So the previous owner replaced the springs and I think the shocks as well, I have no idea what kinda springs are on it and there is no markings to go off of. So I'm considering just replacing everything front and rear. I know I want to go with billies for the shocks but I'm not sure which ones, as far as springs go, I have no clue. I really don't want to lift it very much, a couple of inches would be cool. I'm pretty sure the front is already lift a little bit. It measures 21 inch from center hub to fender. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

First things first - have you read through this thread? It should answer most of your questions and point you in the right direction. Second, if you have more specific questions after reading that thread, folks will be able to give you better answers if you give more specifics. 2 or 4WD, what you plan to use the truck for, etc..
Thanks for the link, i have read though the thread and there is a lot of info in there. I have a 99 4wd SR5, for the most part it is my daily driver. I use it to hunt/ fish and camp, no serious wheeling. I think the hardest part for me, is I don't know what I'm starting with. Does 21 inches sound right for a stock runner. I want to run 265/70/16, right now it has 255's on it.

Yeah rhat height is about right. Ome 881 and 890 springs will be good. You seem to want what i want small lift and smooth ride with mild off road adventures. These springs with bilstien 5100 rude very nice and take bumps and wash board really well from what i have come to understand and is the combo i will be going with. They give 2 inches of lift or so.
