Hi Everyone,
I hope that you would be able to help me with my radio problem. I have a stock radio and it just died. So I thought it was the fuses, but they are good. So I got a new "working radio" and put it in but that one does not work either.
With the car off, I took out the volt meter, I grounded the black probe and stuck the red one in each hole on the harness plug. I seemed to have gotten power from 2 wires, the illuminate wire and the main power to the radio.
When I put the key in and turned on the accessorie, those same two wires no longer had power. It baffles me. Could it possibly be something in the ignition. Does that make sense? Or maybe a bad amp?
I did notice before the radio died that the speakers started making that crackling sound from time to time.
Any help would be appreciated, I cannot stand not having the radio.
