1999 Limited Drivers side mirror assembly replacement

I have seen several aftermarket places making claims they're mirror assembly will exactly fit as the OEM does.

Can someone advise if they have chosen one that worked out well and where they got it from?

Ever figure this out? I broke mine today and am shopping around to a powered/heated(?) replacement for my 99 limited drivers side.

My replacement arrives tomorrow

I couldn't find a replacement mirror specifically labeled "heated" but I found one power mirror on rockauto.com that wasn't labeled "w/o heat" and bought it.

So I just replaced mine with the one I referenced above from RockAuto. Its has 2 less wires than the original (purple and a black with white stripe). Who wants to guess those extra two wires were for the heating element? :Cry:

I guess they just don't make these heated mirrors anymore or are near impossible to find outside of a junk yard. Any idears how to transfer the element over to my new mirror without much risk of breaking it again?

Hi, I was curious if it's possible to replace just the internal pieces of a side view mirror. I have a '99 limited also and just had the internal mechanism that attached to the actual mirror partially broken. I've searched, which is how I found this thread, but only find the entire mirror replacements. Any help is appreciated.
