There should be 2 wires at the brake switch, with a Digital meter, check the green w/white wire with the brakes applied. It should read B+. This should is the output wire of the switch you want.

will this same green/white wire be at the fuse box (with the bigger plug with the white end on it connected into it) on the drivers kick side?
the video lockout is for an alpine dvd player
you have to apply the brakes...then set the parking brake....release.....then set again for it to be able to play video. my parking brake is just a toggle switch......
i have that all wired up....just this one wire left to tap into the foot brake switch.....and im hoping its a green/white wire at the fusebox.
djmodifyd, I'm not sure which brake circuit you are referring to.
The grn/wht wire is for the service brake, which does not go to the fuse panel. This is the output that's from the brake pedal switch to the brake light circiuts. You will have to tap into it where it is exposed at the switch.
Now the circuit for the park brake is a red wire that is located in the center console. But this is a GROUND signal not B+. I have DRL so this red wire goes into the DRL's main relay. If you do not have DRL, then this signal goes into the other side of the p-brake warning light bulb that's in the dash.

Or, you could get a toggle switch, attach one side to the brake wire on the alpine, and ground the other side out. Then, you can watch while driving...I do this for NAV purposes only, of course.
