1st 2016 GOP Presidential Debate

Anyone else watch the debate last night? Regardless of your political inclinations I think it is beneficial to watch the debates to get an accurate picture of the candidates. A healthy discussion on the issues is always a good thing and I enjoyed listening to the candidates sharing their thoughts.

A few things stood out to me. I thought Fox News did a horrible job at being impartial. It was way too obvious who they backed and who they were trying to eliminate. The moderators came across as egotistic and unprofessional.

I thought a few candidates did very well. I was impressed with Carly Fiorina. Ben Carson seemed to project great wisdom every time he answered a question. The moderators attacked Donald Trump more than any other candidate, but he seemed to survive despite the triple team attack.

I enjoyed the exchange between Christie and Paul...

What are your thoughts?

If Megyn Kelly and Chris Matthews stuck their heads further Jeb Bush's ass, they'd come out his mouth...

The entire debate was to make him look better, because he's dropped big money on Fox news to make him appear relevant and the obvious choice, and he still failed.

Krispy Kreme made a gigantic ass of himself again hiding behind 9/11 to explain why he's a fascist.

Rand Paul came off as a guy who makes a bunch of speeches on the Senate Floor.

Ted Cruz who?

Trump is like a burning train wreck, I have a hard time not believing he's a DNC plant.

Huckabee and Kasich are also-rans.

Ben Carson should stick to being a Neurosurgeon.

The presidency isn't a crown to be passed between families. Another Bush or Clinton will make me sick. This was a Fox endorsement for Bush. Fair and balanced, my ass.

Trump is the true clown, not vowing to not run independent if not getting the nomination shows his true colors. I do like how Trump brought to light something few Republicans ever acknowledge. Rich people use bankruptcy laws all the time to their favor. Bankruptcy laws are written by the rich for the rich.

I used to think Paul was the best of this complete shit show clown car, but I'm not certain anymore.

I agree with everything, except about Trump. Although he came off as a bit pissed off...and I can see why. Every question he was asked started with, "Mr Trump...ten years ago"..really? I still like his urgency to where we are headed, with respect to the current batch of idiots serving, and the RINO's who just don't give **** anymore, well.....they do care, as long as it involves ass raping the taxpayer. Chris Wallace had to swallow Trump's load on national television, that wasn't a pleasant experience, I bet.

Drives me crazy that these things are called "debates." They ain't. "Game show" or "Pageant" would be a far more appropriate description.

That said I actually thought that Kaisich and Fiorina seemed like they: a) have a fairly decent grip on reality. b) can analyze and reflect on more than one thought at a time; which indicates intelligence.
Don't think either of them will get the nomination, but I would not be surprised if one of them ends up as a VP nominee.

I thought it was pretty informative - I watched both debates. Trump is good to have in there just to keep the real candidates on their toes and remind them that the voters want things fixed in DC.

I'm still leaning towards Rick Perry, Rick Santorum or Jeb Bush but there's plenty of time to decide......

I realize that these debates are not as good as doing some real research - but it does give the average totally uninformed ignorant voter at least something.

Hopefully we won't get another loser like the present "do it my way or the highway" dictator that lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave now - - -

Due to other commitments, I could not watch the first group. How did Bobby Jindal do? He seems pretty level headed and has been a decent governor by most reports.

wish he were more like his father on social issues, but unfortunately he can't be if he wants to be a serious contender in primaries, and he actually wants to win

I like Paul's stance on the bill of rights. But honesty, he does just come off as 'blowing hot air' here. Christie came back with a solid point, and IMO, Paul came back with a bunch of buzz words and then attacked Christie on a hug with the President... seriously? That seemed very childish to me.

And Trump speaks his mind which is great. I think his disdain for political correctness is a breath of fresh air for many. Unfortunately, he's a complete clown. He's a mascot, not a President. The way we're perceived around the world matters, whether people like to think so or not. And to have a guy that, of all places, goes around on Twitter blasting some chick all night because he's offended, is a serious sign of immaturity and general ass-hattery.
