1st Gen Console w/Heater Cup Holder

I picked up some gymnastic type foam mats to put in the back of the runner for my dogs and had some extra to play with. I have an 88 sr5 tall console with heat which means it has hardly any storage space. I cut pieces and glued the stack together then cut out the holes with some scissors. It looks like crap but was super cheap and easy to make. I used one of the cores i cut out and glued another layer on top so i can still rest my elbow comfortably while carrying only 1 drink. I can pull out the armrest part if I need to hold a 2nd drink. The lid will still close with the holder and the armrest piece.

What adhesive did you use to glue the pieces together?

Those mats are really handy - I've been using them for various things for years, including to stand/sit on in the garage, and I have some cut-up scrap pieces lying around.

i glued them together with some gorilla glue. i need to put some silicone or something where the two bolts are in the console to keep any water from trickling through from sweating drinks.
