2.5" Daystar Lift on T4r Sport w/XREAS

Just Installed Daystars lift kit on my 03 T4R Sport V8 and everything is great. The ride is still just as smooth as B4. The kit was only $239. It feels like i'm 2 feet in the air compared to stock. The XREAS system is still operable and I have NO dash lights going crazy. The only problem was, they said the Daystar instructions said nothing about clearence getting strut out to install spacers. After tedious search, I found removing the upper A-arm to be the solution. I called the shop and they took care of it. OTD price was just over 5 bills.

If I understand correctly the 2.5" daystar kit has everything, that is not only spacers but also bumpstops and so forth. Did you install those components as well?

I'm looking forward to doing this lift soon. I just need a bit more clearance to creep over rocks etc and all everything should be perfect.

Yes, bump stops were there. Everything you need is in the kit (except a little installation dude to pop out and put it on for you)!

Do you have the Daystar part number for your kit?

Daystar offers so many variations it is hard to get a correct part/package number.

I'm awaiting a 1 inch spacer lift kit from Cornfed since I just need a little more clearance for my new BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO tires (slight rubbing on the front right at full turn).

I love the look of a slightly raised T4R and by my calculations, a 1 inch lift will give my 4Runner a stance almost exactly like that of the current stock Tacoma 4WD (which is AWESOME IMHO :awais: ).

Once I get the kit in I'll be asking (more likely begging) for help from the other members in the SoCal area on the install. Of course there'll be free food and drink in the deal. :

I should be getting the kit this week and plan on installing it within the next couple of weeks after that on a weekend.

Since I don't have access to a garage or any decent tools I'll either be looking for some help from fellow T4R members of having a shop do the install.

I'd rather do it myself to ensure it's done properly and I think it'd be a great way to meetup with everyone in the SoCal area again.

Maybe we could arrange a group mod day. Something that everyone wants to do like putting the rear bupper lens to use. :awais:

I'm located in Irvine. Let's definately set something up. I currently have stock-sized (265/70/16 I believe) Revos. Would the lift look weird if I don't get bigger tires? I just got these tires 3 months ago and do not want to upgrade tires again.
