you can easily email cornfed suspensions to have them build you an 1" kit. I'm sure they'll be able to accomodate you for since they build to order.

When you're ready to do the installation, post up a new thread with the subject of "Wrenchathon in < fill in city name> on < fill in date >" and go from there. I know there are A LOT of members that someone close to you will be able to assist you. You technically don't need a garage as long as you have ample lot space (driveway, parking lot, you name it). I've done installations in all sorts of conditions so any open area will suffice (except for the rain might dampen the spirits).
If you search for the "whos from CA (or something like that)" thread, you'll notice that there are over 100 members here so figure half from socal, someone should be able to assist you. The more members that show up the better as it'll be fun
Also doing multiple installations at the sametime will definitely be a better idea as you'll essentially kill 2 birds with one stone.
If doing it yourself is not an option, check out Demello Offroad in Santa Ana, CA (local to the both of ya) for installations. Prices are reasonable and they have done several 4th gens (even removed xreas too) so you'll be in good hands too.
