im not sure if this is best to star a thread ro the corrct place sio if not im sorry. I have seen alot on it, but no real for sure answer. Basically i have the good old cracked cast iron exhaust manifold. I have been creeping around and have seen the tubular mini header for $330 or so but i then came across the tacoma manifold for 2.7. Its about half the cost and a toyota part. The part number is 17141-75080.
It appears it will be a perfect fit, im just hoping people have put in on a 4runner without issue before i purchase it. Also i am hoping i dont have a burnt valve from all that junk. Long story short, i need to replace PCV valve its past due but the idle isn't rough, just not what it used to be and there isn't a miss or any CEL, just a weird miss like pop every now and then. Every couple minutes, i know i need to get it compression or leak down tested. I tried the paper test, it does rattle not suck it in hard, but i also have no CAT, haven't since i got the vehicle 90,000 miles ago. So i am wondering if that plus an exhaust leak would affect the paper test.
I know its a lot to ask, and i didn't want to drag up an old thread, sorry about the rant. I just want to keep her in good working order!
