2.7L 4 cyllinder with A343F trans

Was this combination of engine and transmission ever offered in the 4Runner over there? It's a very common combination on the JDM import sites.

I know nothing about the A343F transmission, other than it's only a 4 speed. I'd only just finished learning about the A750F.

An unmodified 4.0 is looking like a unicorn at the moment, there just isn't the choice there was last March. Hopefully the 2.7 wouldn't struggle too much, with the weight.

Thanks Mike I feared that might be the case. It looks like the Tacoma used it so I might be able to ask on a Tacoma forum. Not that much should go wrong.

At this stage I was just curious if the brilliant fluid exchange process I learned about here, could be used on the A343 transmission (Apparently it's just a stronger A340 if that helps)
