2" fox shock plus 1" spacer

I've searched around on here but can't seem to find an answer. I was wondering can I buy those fox coilovers the 0-2" ones and just put a 1" spacer on top of that to gain 3" total. Or is that a no no. Thanks guys

in theory you could, but coilovers usually are meant for mounting and getting correct length. But AllPro sells top kits for coilovers for FJs so it definitely can be done. Just usually not the first choice.
