2" OW Lift with Grillcraft

2" OW Lift / MX Grillcraft / 8" sub- finished project.

tires are 285/70/17. i have the 2" overland warehouse lift kit w/o kdss. (very happy with the ride- what a diffference vs stock). gonna see if the nakedness is going to grow on me.... will be much easier to install a grill/emblem than it was to install the mx grillcraft.

reason for the 8" vs bigger, i wanted to be able to access the 3rd row- & keep it compact.

How much is the OW lift? And what audio system do you have? Any way I could run a sub off of the stock system?

Do you have any rubbing issues with the 285s? I'm ordering the 2" OW kit tomorrow and I'm not sure if I'll need adjustable UCAs to go to 285s.

even with the uca, sad to say, had to cut out with the 285's.... still worth it. no regrets. alpine head unit, focal 3 ways up front, alpine 2 way rear door, polk audio 6 1/2 slim, jl 8" sub- sounds frickn' awesome! the sub is perfect for my lifestyle, now? those days of bumpn' is long gone. i do have the 3M clear bra & hid headlights & fogs, both 5k. i just wish they could make some sliders for the sr5. the nerf bar is really getting to me now, it's the family factor that's keeping it on now... wife & 6 y.o. twins.

As for the tires, I'm torn between the Nittos and the Falkens.

Tell ma about the rims... What are they? Where did you get them? I saw someone say FJ wheels, but I thought that FJ wheels were 16" and therefore would not fit.

they're the stock FJ rims, which are 17". typically it's people pining for the old FJ TRD rims, which are 16". (and won't fit.)

autosound in redwood city. they kick ass! wanted to go with a 10" sub, but that meant re-doing the storage space & not being able to use the factory chargers in the rear space, & i get to use the 3rd row seating without any issues.
