1. Hi, is the handling better/worse or the same?
2. Did you by any chance check with Toyota to see if it will void out the wrranty?
I have extended warranty up till 100k, and don't want to tinker with it.
3. How is the gas consumption, is it about the same, worse? or better?
Sorry about all the questions, just trying to do as much research as possible.

Did you ever get around to installing the 2" lift (front) and throwing on the 275/60's? This would answer my question if I can get away with the 60 series instead of the 55. Thanks! :boink:

To all those who installed tires such as Nitto 275/55/20 which are rated for 7.5" on the 7" Limited wheels, are you guys still alive? If so, please post updated reviews. How have you used your truck - pavement , off road, etc...? Any issues?

ThirdToy; My final set-up is 2/3 Daystay spacer lift, 265/75/17 BFG's, and for the winter Cooper Discoverer M+S 275/75/17 (with Spidertrax due to rim design) I had some rubbing on full right lock at the front left wheel, cured with a sharp knife and two sheet metal screws to reposition the fender liner.
I'll post pics in the next while, snows go on next week.

Only been a few weeks but yup alive and well. Have driven over 1000 miles and tires have performed flawlessly, have had zero issues. Have NOT been offroad.

Hi - do you experience any rubbing? How's the gas millage with these new tires? and lastly - any better or worse street handling?

Guys, This is so true!! Pictures really don't do it justice. This tire size is what Toyota should be equipping the Limited with from the factory! They really do "completely transform" the look of the T4R-L. To confirm what everyone who has this size tire on the OEM wheels has already said here, They do not rub with stock suspension

Pictures will come as soon as i have a decent weather day to get them done!!! I was a bit optimistic about the tires but i ABSOLUTELY love them...very quiet, still get good mpg, and they look aggressive! i went to discount tire thinking i was getting a set of hankook atp's put on but they didn't come in...glad i got these!!!

Just replaced my stock tires yesterday with Michelin MS2 in 275/55/20. The ride and handling is so much better. I really like the wider tread and how they seem to fill up the wheel well a lot better. No issues thus far. This forum is such a unique place to share ideas, knowledge, etc.

I also traded my duelers in for the ltx ms/2's and couldn't be happier. When I first drove home from discount tires with them on, I was a little disappointed because they seemed to ride a little rougher. I just happened to check the air pressure when I got home and found they had 64lbs in my front right tire! I put them all at 32lbs and it obviously was a tremendous difference.
I am still playing with the air pressure on these. At 32lbs, they looked a little low on air and rode a little soft. I now have around 37lbs in them, and they seem to ride a little better, but they still look a little low.
For everyone that has these tires, how much air do you put in them?

I purchased some le 20"s for my taco and want to upgrade tire size and have a couple of questions for those running 275s
1. How is mpg now that you are running wider tire

We just traded in our 06 Prerunner but when we had it went from a 265 to a 285 tire. The mpg did dip slightly prob just 1 mpg or less but we never got good mpg with it either way. Also it was going from a "street" type to a semi AT type tread. 15 to 19 mpg depending on what we were doing with either set of tires.
That 285 just happened to be a Zion LTZ. I liked the look of it & from what I seen had well above average reviews. Had them on the Taco for apprx 15k miles & now have them on our 4runner. I'm very pleased with them so far & feel they will last awhile. You can see pics of them in my album or under 5th Gen reader rides page 116. Good luck
