I also traded my duelers in for the ltx ms/2's and couldn't be happier. When I first drove home from discount tires with them on, I was a little disappointed because they seemed to ride a little rougher. I just happened to check the air pressure when I got home and found they had 64lbs in my front right tire! I put them all at 32lbs and it obviously was a tremendous difference.

I am still playing with the air pressure on these. At 32lbs, they looked a little low on air and rode a little soft. I now have around 37lbs in them, and they seem to ride a little better, but they still look a little low.

For everyone that has these tires, how much air do you put in them?

How do those ms/2's do off road?

To all those who installed tires such as Nitto 275/55/20 which are rated for 7.5" on the 7" Limited wheels, are you guys still alive? If so, please post updated reviews. How have you used your truck - pavement , off road, etc...? Any issues?

Just got off the phone with my local guy and he said for all 4 installed is $1383 :jaw drop: ..

Has anyone else put those on and got a better deal.

On another note, he did say that the bigger tires will through off the odometer. Have you guys heard that before? It will either read as more or less miles, basically, not so accurate.

Thoughts?

Yea the MS2's are crazy expensive. I am looking (as soon as I get my tax return) to get the Cooper AT3's and are priced much better.

As for the odometer: the bigger the tire = slower speedometer. What I mean by that is if your stock size tire reads 60mph, your "Bigger" - bigger in OD - tires will read more like 59, 58, 56mph (depending on just how big you go. This will result in the odometer indicating less miles than actually driven. Use this site to figure out just how much... :reddance:

The diff between the stock 245/60r20 and 275/55r20 is .6 mph at 60 mph

Because I'm so paranoid :hiding: I emailed Cooper regarding the tire and rim size of the Limited.

"Danny, the minimum rim width is a 7.5" rim. If you have Toyota 20" wheels, the original equipment 20" wheels from Toyota that are specified on 4-Runners are a 7.5"X20" rim. I hope that you find that these wheels are 7.5" wide. Thanks, Les"

I am now waiting on an e-mail from Toyota regarding the Rim size, I also found on another site that it is 7.5. So far looks like we are good

I guess I just want to hear it from Toyota them self. There is a lot of conflicting information regarding the RIM size between different sources.

I really want to put on 27/55/20. I just don't want to end up with the wheel separated from tire and :roadkill: injur my wife. If it was me driving it, it would be a different story.

I wonder if we can sign a petition and have Toyota issue a 7.5" width rim, and have all the limited owners be able to swap it out. Dream on.

I can't fine my pics, but if you search under my screen name you can find them. I put Brdigestone Dueller Revos in a 275/55/20 on my Limited with the ridiculous 7inch wide rims almost 2 years ago. I now have about 26k miles on them with no issues whatsoever. They fit fine, no rubbing at all, handling seemed to improve, and they look so much better than the pizza cutter tires that come on them. I've aired them down to go on the beach without any problems, I put chains on the back to get through some deep snow without any problems...The only downside is I seem have lost about a mile per gallon. I would do this again without blinking an eye.

Discount Tires said the Nittos were listed as compatible with the T4R in their system. I'm sure, technically, there is a slight risk, but it's not enough to concern me. There's an increased risk when driving 80 instead of 70, but most people do without a problem.
