Up for sale is my 2000 3rd Generation Toyota 4Runner Limited. I believe I am the 4th owner, and while the mileage is low for its age and type of vehicle, it is not perfect. Has some dings all around but NO RUST, as it has been a PNW based vehicle for its entire life. Has the 3.4L 5VZ-FE V6 (not the horrible 3.0L from 1995 and older 4Runners) which is one of Toyotas best, most reliable engines. The engine has NO problems whatsoever, transmission shifts perfectly, it drives amazingly, and really doesn't need anything. I've road tripped to Pullman and Missoula multiple times in single digit winter temps and around 100 degree heat and I've never had a single problem, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this cross country. I've also gotten around 22-23mpg highway on longer trips out over the pass.
However, this 4Runner does have some slight modifications. An aftermarket steel tube bumper was welded on that was professionally powder coated, the bumper is made by addicted offroad, and was around $750 after shipping and powder coating. What I really like about it is that it's only 20lbs heavier than the stock bumper and valence so it doesn't make the truck front heavy or reduce MPG's. I also have some very nice PIAA LED headlight bulbs (were $150/bulb) that were specifically made for reflector housings so they do not blind oncoming traffic, and I've never had any issues with them, they have been very bright and are WAY better than the old halogen bulbs that didn't work very well at all.

-Center diff lock AND rear diff lock because it's a Limited (highly sought after)

Cons/Problems:
-General dents/dings from a 17 year old vehicle
-The custom turn signals while 100% functional could have been done a bit cleaner
-Interior leather has wear and tear, but compared to other 4Runners of similar age I see on CL the interior really is not bad
-Plastic trim in trunk is a bit scratched up and worn from having stuff in the back slide around
-Front bumper definitely isn't for everyone
-Rear defrost currently doesn't work but the side mirror defrost does and it's the same button, the mechanic said it's probably just a plug in the tailgate that came undone but I haven't given it a look yet.
-Has been in accidents. I have pictures of two, and the other time it happened before the previous owner had it (in 2007) so I don't know what happened. The previous owner drove into a fire hydrant and scratched up the original front bumper, but now that the metal one is on there is no visual evidence of that having ever happened as the plastic bumper was all that was damaged. Second accident was a low speed bump into the trailer hitch, which dented the hitch so I took it off. I have pictures of both the hydrant and trailer hitch incident so please email me and I'll send them to you no problem, both very minor and don't affect anything about the vehicle anymore as it still has a clean title and the only parts damaged were removed.*
-Probably the only real bad con, is that there is a mild whirring noise from the rear end. I've had my friend who works at Toyota of Bellevue as a licensed tech do a lot of work to the rear end but after we fixed one noise, another was still there and being a broke college student I don't really have the cash to keep hunting it down. Pre purchase inspections are 100% more than welcome.
