2000 4runner radio swap

I have a 2000 toyota 4runner and the radio lights have gone out. My dad had a toyota tundra and took his stock radio out. All though i am not sure on what year the tundra was, the radio looks exactly the same. Only difference is his has the 6 disc cd changer built into it. Think it would work if i had it put into my 4runner?

I think you will find that it works just fine. The plugs should match up as they have changed very little over the years. You didn't mention the year of the Tundra and that might have some implication but I think the odds are in your favor for an easy swap.

If for some reason the plugs don't fit, before you go spend money on new plugs make sure you locate the amp for the factory stereo and see if the plugs that go into it will work with the tundra stereo. I found out the amp was there after I bought $25 adapters.
