2001 4runner 4x4 rear sagging

Noticed rear driver's side sage. Replaced shocks and still sagging. Maybe an inch or two lower than right side. Help....what could be the problem so when i take it in to the shop i dont get ripped!

You only replaced the shocks and not the springs? Or did you do both?
 
You may want to check with your local dealer as my 97' SR5 had a recall on the rear springs to fix the sagging problem. I took mine in last summer and they put new springs and bump stops in the rear which so far has corrected the problem. The only bad thing is the bump stops are a little longer and I have noticed that with a few people in the back seat and either a trailer or boat hooked up and some gear in the back you may hit them going over speed bumps or in and out of driveways.

Do you remember the recall number? I have a 97 SR5 and would like to look further into this.
 
id do this as well

check car-part.com for 99 4runner stock coil struts and rear coil springs

this will give you about 1.5 inchs of lift and cost maybe 80 bucks depending on how good of a bargain person you are :)

thats what I would do.

dealerships like to rape you
