Was driving in the mountains down a slight incline in 2wd when the audible bing and skid control light came on for about 6 seconds. The front left bake engaged and the truck veered hard to the left. I was prepared for something to happen so I corrected quickly and the bing and light went off. This happened in the same spot twice on a hill in NC called 'Mystery Hill' (About Us At Mystery Hill in Blowing Rock NC). The same thing happened with no automatic braking while getting off an interstate off ramp and driving over a slight bump in the road. I don't mind the skid control system as long as it works correctly. Any idea on what might be going on or where to start? My first thought was maybe brake dust was on the ABS sensor on one of the wheels but I'm not sure if this is connected.
