I have a 2001 4runner with 350k miles. Due to the mileage & cracked heads. I decided to do a quick engine/trans swap. I picked up an engine from a 2000 4runner. Figured 99% of it was the same, except for the throttle body.
Coming to the transmission, I find the 2000 unit has a kick down cable, and mine is electronic. Now I'm pissed and upset that I didn't catch that detail!
I then came across this thread:

It seems like I may be able to swap out the valve body & a sensor. I'm hoping someone can shed some light.
Thanks!!
