2001 Rear propeller shaft

Can someone verify that possibly the 01-02 might NOT have zerk fittings on the rear double cardon where the moly grease is to be used? I'm looking at the 2002 repair manual online and don't see the zerk fittings on the double cardon but I believe older models may have had the fittings. Can anyone with an 01-02 or possibly an 00 chime in?

If I remember correctly, my 2002 4WD Limited has three on the DC joint (one on joint housing and 2 on the U's), one on the rear U, and one on the slip yoke. I assume, but am not sure it is the original shaft, bought my runner at 79K. When I removed it to grease it at 85K, it looked like it had never been removed. I used valvoline moly-fortified in all the fittings. Sometimes I think I may get another gun and load straight mp grease and do it exactly as Toyota recommends.

Do you have a 2WD? I might be crazy, but i think the 2WD might not have the zerks

The fsm is from a 2002 fsm. It should have zirks.

EDIT: If you have 2WD then you don't have a double cardan.

It's a 4wd. This is what I was referring to. It looks like the picture shows the fittings however does not label it. Thanks for the help, guess I'll have to do the roll it back hop under a few times trick!

Yeah, other pages show the zirks very clearly. Check out page PR-10 and PR-15 (the latter is where the pic in my thread comes from).
