Hello all, new here and to forums. I bought an 01 sr5 4wd on saturday that i absolutely love! So i figured id get an obd2 dongle to keep tabs on how my new baby is running. I got it today and hooked it up, my phone is paired with it but wont connect to dash command, im thinking i have to buy the full version but that doesnt seem right. It connected to torque but the interface of torque is laggy and not visually appealing. If anyone knows how i can fix this, or has any positive input id love to hear it. Thanks mates.

I bought a cheap dongle and had the same issues, I threw it away. The connectivity was very spotty at best, and not buying the full version really limited what I could do anyway. Especially the torque app. It was taking 2 or 3 minutes to connect, when it did, most of the time it would time out. I considered buying a better quality dongle, or a wifi dongle, but I lost interest.

You must have gotten a dud. Mine takes no more than 30 seconds to connect. Lag is very minor as well. I've used it with the same results on a few Galaxy S phones, Android Tablets, and an HTC Desire.
