Hey everyone, helping my family sell our 3rd gen 4Runner. Here are the specs via the craigslist ad.
2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Sport Edition
- 174,000 miles
- 4WD
- Center diff lock
- CLEAN carfax

Brakes (rotors, pads) @ About 500 miles ago
Ball joints (lower, common issue) @ 500 miles ago
Rear coil springs @ 173K
Valve cover gaskets (OEM spec) @ 171k
New rear half axle & wheel bearing @ 172k
New head lights @ 173k
Tires @ 170K
Fresh oil change @ Toyota
ALL fluids (differential, coolant etc) changed in last 15K
Alignment @ 173K
Muffler @ 170k
Spark plugs @ 169k
Everything works and there are no missing pieces (2 keys, rear cargo cover, radio antenna)
We have owned this car for the last 4 years. Due to our current circumstance we don't need a 3rd car anymore. This car spent a lot of its life outside the rust belt in the South and has little to no rust on the body or frame (frame issues are notorious in 3rd generation 4Runners, so we consider this one a gem). The body is not perfect but the car is almost 16 years old, mechanically it doesn't have any issues. Title in hand and tons of paper maintenance records. Sad to see it go but we hope that it finds a good home!
