I just finished installing a 2002 console into a 97.
IMPORTANT: Have the shift lever in PARK "P" all the time. You are removing the e-brake so the truck may roll if the shifter is not in P position. SAFETY FIRST. This is demonstration purposes only.
Items used:2002 console, e-brake lever and the rear console mount.
It was straight bolt on. The only cutting is the two bottom fins on the console (3rd and 4th pictures).
No drilling.
Had to relocate the hatch window and ETC switches. There are enough wires to relocate the two switches into the front dash by the left knee.
So no cutting/spicing wires!
Items used:2002 console, e-brake lever and the rear console mount.
