2002 front diff actuator replacement help

I will be pulling and testing the front diff actuator on my 02. Maybe replace if cleaning and lubing doesn't fix it. I have electric and not vacuum like the earlier 3rd gens.

Wondering what is the proper placement of the fork on the actuator for 2wd?

I keep reading that some are replacing the actuator and then having to remove again and reinstall to put the fork in the correct position. Hoping to avoid that.
