Need some input...Used Sears for an oil change that was due on February 15, 2015, oil light was flashing, went off after oil change. March 24th, driving, oil light comes on, call my son who is a mechanic and proceed to drive to his shop, less than 10 minutes later, engine seizes up. 116,000 on the motor. First thing we did is made sure there was oil in it and all fluids were where they were supposed to be...I'm going to need a new motor and I'm curious if anyone would know how this could possibly happen and could Sears have done something wrong. Thanks.

It's an oil pressure light, not an oil level light. It's red because red means stop, not keep driving. You lost oil pressure for whatever reason and kept going, sounds like it's on you. Also, you stated the light was flashing before you took it to Sears...
