Stock 200hp/170tq out of a 2.5L V6.
Since then, I've further extrude honed the upper intake manifold, added a 75mm throttle body, added a 2.25inch cat back+ypipe, and changed the flywheel out for a 9lb fidanza one (and added a Quaife LSD while I was at it).
The final coup de grace will be a t3/4 turbo kit, which is dynoed at 295fwhp/260tq (which is like 330hp/300tq with driveline loss).
Biggest problem with the turbo kit is putting power down to the ground, since it is FWD. But, so far FI CSVTs are running mid-13's in the quarter mile at 5-10psi of boost. Stock quarter miles are in the mid-14's.
Forged 18's. . .if I could find a company that makes 'em!! I like the SSR rims on tirerack, but they don't come with a 4-bolt pattern. The closest I've come to a lightweight 18in rim is the OZ-Crono Evolution, 18X7 in a 4-bolt pattern is like 18lbs? I also like the 18x7.5 ASA AR1's, which weight 22lbs. Currently, I have light weight Rota Attacks at 17lbs/side, so yeah, I'll take a hit (but then 215/40-18 tires are lighter than the current 225/45-17's!)
We'll see. . .btw, post some pics of your M3, absolutely my next car, I'm making the contour the project car (with a turbo comes lack of reliability). . .I'm curious to see the next gen 3-series and the next gen M3. . .I don't like where they've gone with the 5-series, but the M5 spy pics do look nice. . .I hope they don't make the 3-series look fat like the 5 and 7-series. . .
