Just wanted to add my experience since I was very disappointed in my 2003's door locks.
Owned a 2003 Limited V6 and driver's door lock stopped working about 20,000 in. Bad actuator replaced under warranty. About 40,000 miles in (warranty had expired) the passenger door lock started sticking occassionally. Fortunately, it fixed itself somehow because I didn't want to spend the money to have Toyota replace it.
Then, while selling my 2003 (in order to get my current 2005 V8) which at that time now had approximately 53,000 miles, the passenger rear went bad. Instead of spending the money on the lock, I just told each prospective buyer that I'd knock off $400.00 from the price.
Also, one of the Judge's I work with are park in the same garage owned (and still does) a 2003 SR5. Out of curiousity I asked him if he had any door lock problems. He said that both his driver side front and rear broke within a month of each other. When the rear broke (the second one to break) he told Toyota to replace all his locks with new ones (ie. the passenger sides that hadn't broken yet).
Toyota told me that they had NEVER seen another door lock stop working. Given my experience, and the one person who I asked about their door locks, they definitely were feeding me a line of crap.
Anyway, hopefully any newly produced door locks/actuators don't suffer from the same proglem.
