Ok, so this is my first post. The latch mechanism on our lift gate locked up, so I replaced it. After replacing it, it would do nothing, it wouldn't unlatch when I pressed the button, and it wouldn't close itself electrically when shut lightly like it used to. I tested the switch, and get continuity, so I read on here that the ECU in the gate is a common problem. I ordered one online from a salvage yard. Today I installed the ECU. At first it wouldn't unlatch, but it would close itself. I tested the switch at the molex connector at the ECU, no continuity. I tried to shut it again, and now it does nothing again. I'm lost, and don't want throw in the towel yet. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
