I just picked up a 2004 4runner SR5 V6 4x4 with 121k miles on it. It came with a scheduled maintenance guide but it's pretty useless. It's generic for all Toyotas.
What should I plan on doing and how often? I came across specs for valve clearance but don't know how often to check it. How often do you check yours? Also what type of valve system is in there? I'm used to the old bucket and shim system from my old 2.7L 4 cylinder. Does this engine have a similar setup?
What else would you recommend I do on a regular basis besides changing the oil and greasing all the zerks?
