2004 4runner Sport Edition, Broken Sunroof

Due to a dimwit friend at a tailgate, my sunroof is now stuck in the open position.

Basically the roof was open and the driver's side of the glass was used as a handle to pull two people on the roof of my car. Im guessing the weight and force of them, knocked it off its track.

I still hear the motor grinding and the passenger side wants to move and trys to come out but is then stopped and retracts back to the stuck position. Is this a track issue, or possibly a cable issue?

Also, if anyone has experienced something similiar to please share the experience and resolution. Thanks!

I don't know what's the fix...but it's a known issue for 4th Generations.

Pritchnakoff had it fixed by the Dealer for $1,000

Thanks K.C., Im reading similiar fix prices. What i'll be doing today is documenting the tearing down of my headliner. Then seeing whats really going on up there. I know the motor is working and i know the passenger side cable is still good, it might just be caught off track. Will update tomorrow.
