2005 4 Runner movement issues

I posted this similar complaint in 04 when I had a V8 that did the same thing. I took it in to the dealer 4 times and never got anywhere with it. It only happened with the a/c on. I ended up trading it in due to needing a more economical car for work but just bought an 07 (V6) in June and it does the same thing. I drove other 4runner's back in 04 w/the same engine under the same conditions that did not do what mine did. I too have almost drifted into the car in front of me if I'm not pushing the brake down really hard. I also feel it at steady highway miles (power surges up and down with a/c on). I don't know much about cars, but doesn't it seem like maybe some type of timing is off to compensate for power needs when the a/c compressor turns on and off? So are we saying this is normal?

i never had a problem with the a/c power surge issue, i just have a problem with excessive nose dive and brake creep.

The a/c will not create the surging experienced just after engine startup, but the idle stabilizer will need to compensate for the draw of the compressor, making slightly more brake pedal effort necessary to stop.

The high idle setting is normal on a cold engine and goes away quickly. In the winter, I often put it into neutral when going down the dirveway first thing in the morning.

All I know is when I'm sitting at a long traffic light in gear with AC on, you can hear the motor idle up and feel the truck want to surge or creep forward thenafter a few minutes idle down and you can feel the pressure release. In park,its the same thing without the surge/creep.
I have no problem with high idle on a cold motor. I relate that to torque of the V8 and high idle. I will be going to the dealer soon car shopping and while I'm there, have the techs look at it. Not a big problem to me, just didnt expect a motor like this to be effected as much with an AC. And this damn exhaust really makes it more noticable(up and down rumble!)
