I have the Scosche kit for the JBL system if anyone wants it...It is brand new and never opened..

All I know is it's wider then the stock radio I have in mine.. When I looked it up on the Scosche webstite it said it was for the RDS radio which would be the JBL...

Just great... So I pulled up next to a 05 sport just like mine and I peer into his/her car.. and the radio is different! CRAP! The RDS JBL radio comes flush to the center console. While my JBL radio is recessed like the normal radios that they have in the sr5's. So what's the correct kit for this now? so confused!........

well, looking at the picture of the scosche kit, it looks like it replaces the 6 disk that is flush. Notice the thicknes at the top of the face compared to the bottom. the American International kit that is compatable with the celica and echo is for the ragular and single disk JBL.

Specific Adapter now available

I spoke with someone at Metra, and they have finally released the adapter for the '05 T4R. However, he mentioned to me that it is only for the non-jbl system as far as he knew. (I myself am not familiar with the difference).
Surprising how long it took......

Damb It!! I didnt know they made one to replace the 6 disk RDS. I traded radio and trim to be able to use the regular adapter... oh well, I need it for the navigation unit any way

Yeah that's the dash kit I have, it's for the RDS JBL six Disc system.

The normal SINGLE DISC JBL uses the normal Toyota 4 runner kit.
