I assume you run the oiled K&N??? do you clean your MAF very often? the oil from the filter gets sucked into the intake tract and coats the MAF's very sensitive wires. driving with a dirty MAF will decrease efficiency and negate what little to any gain from the CAI.
have a look at the dyno charts from the +8 and +14 hp claims exhaust, tuning, and CAI companies show. a lot of the time the power gained is very high in the rpm range and therefore will not be used on a daily basis to help the vehicle up to speed.
