Have any other '05 owners had electrical issues? I have a '05 Sport V8 4x2 and it appears to have intermittent electrical issues culminating today with my being unable to start the damn truck.
At first it was just two things I noticed but didn't care enough to mess with; a/c controls didn't light up fully and sunroof intermittently would not auto-close after holding down the close button for several seconds.
This morning I went to my car and it wouldn't start at all. I could hear the ignition/starter clicking, but nothing. I soon realized it was the alarm causing the issue. It was attempting to go off but sounded more like a dying squirell (sp). I checked all the fuses and nothing was blown. Then I tried pulling the fuse for the alarm system and starting the car without it but the alarm still tried to go off just like before. Side note, I can't even honk the horn now.
Unfortunately I'm out of warranty so I'm leary of taking it to a stealership. Does anyone have any experience with these issues? I'm guessing it's a short somewhere (or multiple shorts) and I really don't want to pay for electrical work but I don't know if I have any other choice right now.
Anyone from Texas that can recommend a reliable non-dealership service place in Austin?

To clarify, I don't think it's a dead/dying battery. Everything turned on, just the engine wouldn't turn over. Lights, radio, a/c, etc., all come on.
