2006/2007 SE V8 Options/Accessiories

I'd like some advice of worthwhile options and accessories. The V8 SE comes standard with so many of the features I want.
The only options that I think would be good are:
-rear spoiler
-side mounted airbags and f&r side curtain airbags
-anti theft alarm
-115 v outlet.

I was considering the double decker cargo shelf w net, but decided I don't need it.
I've read about a lot of moonroof problems, so I'm shying away from that.

Are there any other options that you would recommend?

On an SE? I've heard that the JBL system is pretty good - much better than the standard stereo, and since 3rd row is not available on the SE, this would be a good addition. Aside from that and your list, I think you have covered the basics.

Compass/Homelink/Dimming rear view mirror would be nice if you have a garage, but you could add this aftermarket yourself and save a few bucks.

I like your list so far. I would also add the homelink, the dimming/compass mirror and Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs).

I would agree, no need for DD Cargo and even though I like having a sunroof I would pass on it if I lived where you do

The one thought I would have is to your radio selection. I know that several folks have preferred just getting the stock radio (non-JBL) and then replacing it with a Scion radio. Apparently, it fits right in and provides better overall sound.

Now to the important stuff - what color?

I was upset my truck didn't come with the JBL origianlly. I was confused because it came with a CD changer, but not the JBL. I've been happy with it. I might get around to adding the SCION unit eventually. The sunroof, I'm glad it's there when I use it. I love driving with the sunroof open and and the back window down. I usually keep the shade closed when I'm not driving with it open.

The back up mirrors are cool. I've used them quite a bit.

DD cargo, hasn't been used once.

I want my V8 SE to have the Galactic Gray Mica exterior. I may be interested in the Shadow Mica, but I haven't seen that in person yet,
I want the interior to be the dark charcoal.

My 06 SE is shadow gray mica and i love the color. Originally I wanted it in black but I they had the shadow gray with all the options i wanted on the lot. I looks a lot like black but with a little lighter tone.

does anyone know if the brakes on the V8 SR5 are the big ones like on the SE? I was thinking maybe they would be due to the V8, but if not, then I would go for the SE with the same option list as the orig poster. Either Salsa or Shadow in color....:guitar2:

Get the moonroof.....don't be paranoid . Its a mechanical thing like everything else on the truck and yes it can break. Although you read complaints about the moonroof here there are alot out there with no problem.

I think it will be difficult to find the car without the moonroof. And you're right, it's mechanical and if I take care of it, it should be OK.

BTW, I found a dealer via the internet who has a 2006 on his lot that is exactly right for my colors and options.(and a moonroof). It has 25 miles on the odometer.
He offered it to me right off for $31,900.
Maybe I can get him to drop it another thousand or so. Would that be a good deal?

I would make sure you get to pocket the rebate... I'd say you could get down to 30.9k and get the rebate, then you'd have a good deal.

It depends on your region. Here in Northern California, there's a $2000 rebate or 0% financing on 2006.
